- JAJ AbermanSep 25, 20251.0I called the number for a branch where there was a banker I needed to speak to. I spent more than 20 minutes fighting through various layers of automated answering and was told four times my call was "very important." I eventually got to a remote banker who said she would connect me. I was on hold for about 7 minutes before the line dropped (not on my end). I never did get through. Obviously, this is not the individual banker's fault. (She is great.) South State has systemic issues with communication.
