  Good bank with a lot of good tellers :) my family and I keep having problems with one of the tellers, Tabitha. Things like injecting herself into conversations with other tellers, refusing to help with transactions or offering up other solutions, mainly just being passive aggressive and ugly. While we understand bank procedures and going through the steps, we’re always able to get things sorted out after asking for someone higher up or going to a different branch. We love SouthState but we most likely won’t be back to this branch. The day she works from home is the day it goes back to 5 stars :)

  My family moved here in 2021 and my dad recommended banking with South State. The staff were very helpful and everything with them has been smooth. My problem though is with the app. It's easy to use and very intuitive. The problem with it though is the pending charges and the balance updates. Purchases take days to go through 99% of the time, and the balances during these times are ambiguous to say the least. Another thing that's annoying about this issue is people have been complaining about these problems in the app reviews for years. And they haven't made an update that makes the pending charges go through faster or balances update faster. If they fixed these problems I'd give them 5 stars. Fix these issues South State.

  It appears that my review was removed. Negative though it was, It was not untoward. In addition to being denied my (requested) receipt for my transaction, I was charged an $8 fee to have my payroll check cashed. [I cashed 2 {my first two from a new job} and this bank is the one my employers use. This cost me $16.00.] This was a payroll check. Not a personal check, etc. I plan on having my own small business. Am well on my way towards that goal. Under no circumstances will I deal with this bank. The idea of a potential employee being charged to get money they earned , from me, is repugnant.

  I adore this bank. My credit was awful but they gave me a second chance. And it's awesome. Love the staff. Best bank I have ever went to. Love it !!!

  Great staff very friendly! Lately every time I go and get money for my rent or large amount of cash 1) I dont get a envelope and 2) I get mostly $20's! Why do they not ask if I want it broken down?Not a happy camper with this place. Update 9/6 once again come threw and got money and this time she gave me a bunch of 10s 5s and ones I figured if I wanted broken down I would ask but no not this place had to stop and send the money back to get 100s changing my rating!
