I am the General Manager of a local business in McCormick. The company banks with Truist. The company sent me an expense reimbursement check which I took to the local Truist branch here in McCormick. The Teller told me there would be an $8.00 check cashing fee since I don't bank with Truist. I explained I was the manager of the business listed on the check and they bank with Truist. That didn't matter to them so I spoke with the branch manager Nicole who said the same thing. I told her why I didn't have an account at Truist. I came into the branch about 2 years ago to open several accounts, it was 4 in the afternoon and I was told the only person capable of doing that was out to lunch and not expected back. I walked out and drove to First Citizens Bank and opened my accounts there. If a bank cannot have the proper personnel on duty to open accounts during normal business hours then what else won't be available to me when needed. This is a case of greed and just plain poor customer service.

Customer service is the worst.. u can't get anyone on the phone at customer service.I held the phone for one hour and still no one responds to your call...I called into the branch and they are unable to accept a payment over the phone...the automated system tells you that your payment has been accepted...but in all actuality the system don't accept your payment...and then I get a notice in the mail that my payment is late with a 35.00 dollar charge...this bank is the worst!
