- NCNextcellent ConsultingSep 23, 20251.0I went to the bank with all three of my children. I'm a business woman and a Mom. They were each sitting on a couch, my daughter was lying on the back part of a chair, and my two boys were bickering over another chair. Nothing out of control was happening; Look I am a very self aware person. The bank wasn’t busy and we were the only ones there. At one point I stepped away briefly to remind my kids to behave, but again, nothing was excessive or disruptive enough to warrant the uncomfortable comment I received. They weren't jumping on the couch or doing anything extreme to prompt the unnecessary comment. Once my transaction was complete, the teller turned to me and said, “We are getting new furniture in October and your kids are not going to be allowed on it.” This completely caught me off guard. I found the comment unnecessary and inappropriate, especially considering that my children were not causing damage or a disturbance. I am bringing this to your attention because I value respectful service and believe customers especially parents with children should be treated with courtesy and understanding. I would appreciate it if you could review this situation and ensure staff are trained to handle interactions with families professionally and with empathy. If it wasn't for the years I have built with Wells Fargo, I probably would have flew off the handle and asked to cancel all my accounts!
