The rep, whom I sat across from, asked me "Do you have a pen to jot some things down?" Is it me or should he have offered me one of his...better yet one with Wells Fargo advertising on it? I thought his asking that was unprofessional at best and not strategic at worst. I had one, specific question. He never asked what my question was, but he certainly gave me answers to plenty of questions that I never asked. He also let me know that he had an appointment with another client in about 10 minutes. To sum this up easily: He had no pen and no time. He squeezed in just enough time to pontificate; I assure you any precious time lost in his cube was due to his ego, not my ONE, specific question. Knowledge and expertise in your brain or dispalyed on a fancy, metal, desk plate matter little when you talk first and listen and ask last.
