***Avoid this bank. Recent behavior from Truist suggests they face solvency issues.***
This review is regarding the unusual and poor behavior of Truist Bank. I recently wrote a check to a multi-year member of Truist Bank for approximately $1200. My check cleared from my bank and was deposited in the Truist bank account. Truist then immediately froze the account due to "suspected fraud". With no further information, the account remained frozen for over two weeks and was later abruptly closed and still remains under investigation. My friend has had no access to her personal funds for weeks and we have had to financially support her with cash while she finds a new bank.
No one was called, no questions were asked, no inquiries were made to my personal bank. Truist simply froze my friend's account, effectively stealing her funds and holding them hostage while offering no recourse on the matter. I called my bank to make sure everything was okay on our end and they confirmed the check had cleared and they had not been contacted by anyone from Truist.
Don't believe me? Do a quick search and you'll find many such stories of people having their funds frozen for no clear reason, and their accounts closed.

Dustin helped me transfer a significant amount of money and he protected my best interest. I really appreciate his attention to detail.

A couple of times now, I have gone to Adam Cantrell, the branch manager of this bank, to get assistance with unusual issues, and he has been the most pleasant and understanding banker, with whom I have ever dealt. While I'm not a resident of Greenville, I have a business in town, and just happened upon him. He is really a throwback to your old, "local banker". He earnestly listens and honestly gives you his ideas on resolving the issue. What a great resource for SunTrust and Greenville. I wish he was in Atlanta!
