- SHShelby HammondDec 18, 20251.0I just want everyone to know I am a stage 4 breast cancer patient so yes I have chemo brain and forget a lot of things, well I have banked with south state since I was 16 and am now 34. Well I signed up for a program where in a week they would have to pay me $250 which was going towards Christmas money. Well I went inside to see how it would work and the teller lady embarrassed me by yelling to everyone in the building that my account was closed for fraud, they took my debit card, told me I wasn’t allowed to open any new accounts with them all because they said over the years I had too many lost or stolen cards? I haven’t had a issue like that in several months but yet they choose to close out my account for good right before they were suppose to pay me $250 that I had saved over the 2025 year. And not to mention I didn’t appreciate another teller taking pictures of me while I was upset and waiting on management. I think this is very unprofessional and the fact that all my money in my checking and savings account is now tied up and I have to wait for a check to come in the mail EVENTUALLY!! Never again will I refer this bank to anyone!!
