I'm a brand new user as of last week.
I can confirm already that this bank is completely backwards compared to other banks. It is an extreme pain to try to contact customer service. Nobody answers their phone at this branch. It goes to AI which is crazy ridiculous when you're doing customer service. That is the quickest way that I know of currently to lose customers. You are removing an essential part of professionalism and also personalism. People already Don't Trust Banks and then you're going to make it more robotic instead of more personal.
After No Lie 5 minutes straight of telling the AI that I need to talk to a representative and after waiting on hold forever it kicked me back into an AI line. Where I had to fight for a representative a second time on the same phone call. After another couple of minutes I was finally able to speak to a woman named Diana with Wells fargo.
Diana said that she could not provide me with an email statement of me owning my bank account. I provided all the details. Correctly. And she still said she could not do something as simple as sending me an email saying that I own my bank account which is extremely easy at any other Bank around here that I know of.
She said the best she could do was to tell me to go in person at this Wells Fargo, the one that won't answer their phones, and a bank teller will be able to print it out to me.
I walked in thinking that this process that was already extremely ridiculous for a piece of paper that any other bank could have emailed to me, would be solved as soon as I got to the bank teller. You know what they told me? They can't print something like that out. She didn't even take my name. She didn't look at my license. She didn't ask my account number. She just said no we don't do that. I have to wait to see a banker or make an appointment to see one. And when I asked how long it would take they said I don't know but it could be a very long time. How about no. I'll take my business elsewhere.
How can this company, and namely this branch, be this bad? Why does anybody use Wells fargo? It is absolutely atrocious, insane, unprofessional, no personalism, and literally no accountability for what they say. How can you even get your business stuff done if you're expecting to get it done and every step of the way you're getting detoured to wait even longer. I could understand if I was going to get like a mortgage or a loan or something. I'm trying to get a piece of paper that says I own the account. That's absurd.
Edit: cash app is not an FDIC insured bank but their customer support is better than Wells Fargo. They're not even in the same leagues. Y'all have got to do better.

I asked for paper deposit envelopes and was told they don’t give those out because some people ask for too many. Maybe I should deposit my money in a different bank

Worst bank ever. Your house can get damaged multiple times due to flooding and hurricanes and all they can do is give you hell about cashing your insurance check.
