    Absolute worst bank I've ever dealt with. Half the time I didn't even know exactly how much money was in my account with their account overview. Charged return item fees when I had no clue I had less money in my account than it displayed in the app. When I tried to talk to someone they just regurgitated company policies. They do not care about their clients, and it shows through their terrible customer service.

    In general, the staff at the Chapin branch of BBT tries to be helpful and responsive. My problems with the company have all been more attributable to BBT's corporate policies than to the individuals trying to do a decent job in this branch. It appears as if there is absolutely no decentralization of decision-making from the corporate level, thereby requiring customers to jump through time-consuming and irritating bureaucratic hoops to get anything accomplished. Despite owning a sizeable block of BBT stock, I can't recommend the company from the perspective of a client. The corporation appears to be managed by a bunch of control freaks.
