Staff here is extremely unhelpful. Rude female teller with an “oh well” attitude. No grace for overdraft fees even after explaining I sustained an injury where I was incapacitated & out of work. The way they charge overdrafts in my opinion is extremely messed up; what’s the point of the overdraft protection if you still charge me almost $40? Was told to “look better after your account, honey” in an extremely condescending tone. I banked with suntrust before & loved them, I’ve been extremely unhappy with the Truist take over.

I went to this local BB&T bank at (2 Burnt Church Rd, Bluffton, SC 29910) and asked for a roll of quarters in exchange for my $10 bill. The lady behind the glass in the drive through said “are you a customer” I said “no, we are from out of state and don’t have a bank nearby to go to.” The lady said “Yeah, we don’t deal with customers request unless they are banking with us.” I then proceeded to explain that “the target would not give me quarters, the gas station would not give me quarters, the hotel we are staying at would not give me quarters and we needed to wash our clothes, we don’t have a local bank anywhere near by to go to.” The lady said “yeah there is nothing I can do unless you are a customer banking with us.” I then drove off and went to United Community bank at (52 Burnt Church Rd, Bluffton, SC 29910) and walked in and the lady said hi welcome, how can I help you. I politely asked for a roll of quarters making small talk about how hot it was that day. The lady said absolutely and handed me a roll of quarters for my ten-dollar bill. Beyond glad to finally find some good customer service, something that is not here at this bank. Thanks for not helping folks from out of state.
