- SPSarah PDec 27, 20245.0Very nice local bank. The staff always knows your name. The 4 ladies that work there (Catie, Terry, Ashley, Carrie.. All lovely) do everything they can to make sure you walk out the bank with a smile. I recommend this bank proudly! <3
- MMMullexwingOct 4, 20221.0All I needed was quarters. I had cash in hand, but because I'm not a member, or customer with an account here, they refused to help me. I had to drive 16 miles to go to Wells Fargo, whom I would expect that kind of response. To my surprise, Wells Fargo was happy to help, and never even validated that I was in fact a member of Wells Fargo. I'm not sure what First Bank Blacksburg is hoping to gain by withholding a simple money transfer, but they certainly didn't gain any respect. We travel the US and I deal with small town banks all the time. Most of them never question if I have an account or not.
- V6VLB 66Jul 9, 20211.0Worst customer service I've ever encountered. They won't answer the phone at the Blacksburg location so the calls roll over to the Cornelius branch! My dad has made two trips from Gaffney to Blacksburg trying to open an account needed for his disabled sister as her Power of Attorney. Both times the "manager" was out and the last trip he was told she would review the PoA document and call him back. Never happened. This was a critical transaction in order to get her approved for Medicaid. Shamefully negligent attitude toward their customers. Oh, and she/they already have existing accounts...not for long I'm sure.
