After 35 years of patronizing Truist, today’s encounter took me by surprise; my wife and I have a joint account and each month we put in a certain amount in the Truist account. Today a young employee decided he was going to make a kudos for himself by denying our deposit based on the words cash written on the checks accusing me of fraud. I went to another staff member who said he was right. Why then do you wait until we come to make a transaction to lower the bomb on us.? We have always written the checks for cash deposit and had no problem. My first bank account was in 1961 w Lexington State Bank, and now the new breeds are changing the protocol according to which way the wind is blowing. Yes it’s a brutal world we trying to do right in and it difficult to ascertain what I’d correct and what is not. I retired from an organization that was absolutely customer oriented and we were trained to look for ways to help customers not seek ways to not help them!!

Can also confirm that customer service is abysmal. Seriously, I'm an understanding person, but it's so consistently bad. There are 2 ladies that are consistently nice and polite. The rest stopped caring a long time ago. I have worked with many banks in my time, but I have never had the misfortune to have to put up with anything like this. I wouldn't know where to start. From the customer service. The drop box is always closed for repairs. I've been handed notices of possible inconveniences before. Never have I been given a PSA for the customers to be better and stop inconveniencing them with how we order bills in our deposits, but there's a first time for everything. They're bank standards slow. I've been snarled and scoffed at. The amount time they wasted of my life giving me the run around is probably days at this point. I really dont have high standards for bank visits but I've had better worst experiences at the DMV.

When BB&T MERGED WITH SUNTRUST AND BECAME TRUIST WE LOST $230. PLUS. Because we didn't approve of the $60. maintenance fee on our IRA that had not made any money on $25 K in 10 years! We were paying BBT $45. maintenance fee yearly and I paid it on 9-1-2021 to BBT INVESTMENT. However they still deducted $130. early termination fee? and the $60. maintenance fee even though it was not due until NOVEMBER 22, 2021. NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE.. I'M IN SHOCK AND HOPE OTHER PEOPLE DON'T GET FLEECED BY TRUIST.

Excellent service especially with the Branch Manager Linda DeLoach. All the staff are very helpful. I have been a BB&T Customer for over 40 years, when it was Lexington State Bank !
