I explained to the person that deposited my check that I am new to it and how I had to wait to pick up a paper check because I switched direct deposit to my new Centreville branch account I needed the funds as soon as possible to pay my rent and other things like that. I usually get my pay early, but because I switched to a new bank, I had to wait a bit longer than usual, and the person that cashed my check failed to mention that it takes business days to see the money in my account and today is Friday so I won’t be getting all of my check Monday he said and then I’ll get the rest the next day so I am not happy at all. I think that was an awful experience and I feel like considering as a worker at that bank he should’ve told me that it may take a while. I went into my online banking to make sure that my funds were there and they’re not so not only is my account also overdrafted right now but it’s probably going to be even more overdrafted because my funds won’t be available for a few days now and I have to pay my rent and things like that.
