Brought in a Bank draft to transfer the money from my old account to the new one just to be told it would be frozen for a week. The explanation I got "This is an unusual deposit so we must freeze the amount." I asked what was unusual about it and was told it was confidential. Was left with no choice so I deposited the money, sincerely regretting my choice to switch bank. Trusted them as I send them clients for mortgages too, but I will now have to reconsider where I put my money as well as where I send my clients.
