About

Currency Exchange Service
To help keep our customers and colleagues safe, we have implemented physical distancing guidelines in our branches. We are limiting the number of customers in the branch and your wait time may be longer than normal. Our first hour of operation is dedicated to serve seniors and other vulnerable populations with urgent in-person banking needs. In Quebec, we are serving these customers during regular branch hours with enhanced support for physical distancing. We ask that you only visit the branch for matters that require in-person assistance. Please do not visit if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or have been advised to self-isolate due to exposure to COVID-19 or travel. If you require in-person assistance for borrowing, investing or other financial advice, please book an appointment online, and we would be pleased to serve you.

This is a modernized TD Canada Trust branch that offers foreign currency exchange to TD clients only. They offer preferential exchange rates to clients depending on their account level. Even aside from this, the rates are much better than currency exchanges throughout the city. To avoid hassle, if you are selling currency to this branch, have your money counted and also use a currency exchange app to get a rough idea of the value. This will help you to determine if the rate TD is offering is reasonable. If deemed the amount is sufficient, the money can be deposited to your chequing account or taken away as cash. I highly recommend TD foreign exchange service, they are the best of the worst for currency exchange in Canada. My advice is to only get a small amount of currency then wait till you are in your destination country to exchange more (provided they are not as corrupt in Canada in this sense). Most SE Asian countries have excellent rates!!! Canada truly has the worst exchange rates so that the big banks can profit from this. Also, avoid airport money changers at all cost. Just use google reviews in your destination city. Furthermore, a high google review rating only says so much. Look for reviewers who are local guides with multiple reviews to ensure that the reviews are unbiased and added by the business themselves.
