If i could leave no stars i would. They charge $35 in overdraft fees and will continue until you are no longer negative even if its only $1. You can overdraft by a dollar and end up negative hundred if your pay day is still days away. They will not let you set up over draft protection when you ask they say no and that they cant do that when every other bank has over draft protections. They just want to hit you with any fee they can. The app constantly does not work. The staff is rude. I have been with this bank since i was a kid and it was commerce or whatever and staid when it turned to metro then this. And its just trash all around. I do not recommend this bank at all.

On 4/19/23, I went into the York Crossing Drive branch to obtain a temporary debit card because my original debit card was lost/stolen on 4/15/2023. There were two bank tellers (Kylie & Taylor) who assisted me with my situation. There were some issues @ the bank with their computer (Kylie attempted to link my debit card with both of my accounts), so they told me to wait 15 minutes after I got home to activate my card. I actually waited an hour to activate my card. Later on I went to CVS Pharmacy, I attempted to make a purchase and retrieve $40.00 cash back and my debit card was declined twice (w/me having almost $300.00 on the card). On 4/20/2023, I called the branch & the bank teller {Taylor} who I spoke to stated that "the back office had closed out my debit card this morning." When I asked her why, she said "she did not know." I asked "if she could provide me with a telephone number to the back office or to let me speak to her manager or supervisor" and she yelled @ me stating that "she didn't have a number to provide & that she was a supervisor." She was very rude & very unprofessional. She yelled that "I would just have to come back into the branch to get another debit card." So I yelled back to her that "coming back into that branch would be an inconvenience for me and my husband because he works 2 jobs" (he gets off his 1st job @ 3:00pm and has to be at his 2nd job by 4:30pm), so I would be visiting another branch. The telephone conversation/call ended. I hung up and I called the customer service number, found out why my debit card was closed out and filed a complaint against Taylor. Sidenote: I would like to explain myself by saying that the reason I yelled back @ Taylor [which is really no excuse on my behalf because I am usually professional] is because today is my sister Donna's birthday and she passed away. So, Taylor IF you are reading this review I am publicly saying that "I TRULY apologize for my part this morning", but you didn't make it any easier for me. I say this because being a supervisor, you could have attempted to provide me with more information regarding my situation than you did!

Terrible bank. It used to be Metro. Metro was great. Now, there is literally a booklet of fees(and I always keep my accounts in good standing). The line is always out the door. Every time I go there, their "system is down". They told me to 'Just use the ATM' Using any ATM(even surcharge free) other than the one in the bank, results in a fee. I have been waiting 2 weeks on their "system" to close my accounts out. Literally I opened my new accounts at Members 1st Credit Union and had to use the old Metro Bank checks, to write a check to myself, as a last resort to get my own money out of the accout. Beyond sub par. I'd rate it 0 stars if I could.
