- JJJohnnyOct 24, 20251.0At 3PM on a Friday, there is one teller at this bank and a line several people long waiting for the lone teller to track someone down to get an "authorization". She said she should be done "within ten minutes." I have been banking with Wells Fargo since 2008. In recent years, Wells Fargo Corporate has added a plethora of restrictions to what branches can do, presumably in the interest of risk avoidance. There are standard banking functions that Wells Fargo offered two years ago that they now prohibit. I don't know what kind of "approval" this customer requires but it was a time-consuming holdup to the line and probably falls into the same category as the increasingly prohibitive banking bureaucracy Wells Fargo branches appear to have to deal with anymore. I've been really close to switching to US Bank because of it all. I hope this branch can figure out how to improve their processes before most of their customers switch to other banks. Given how many issues I've had with Wells Fargo corporate process restrictions in recent years, it's surprising they still have the market share that they have.
