Unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing customer service interactions I’ve ever had at a bank. From the moment I pulled up, there was no warm greeting, no acknowledgment, and no attempt to make the interaction feel personable. The teller processed my transaction and then simply returned my card and receipt without a single word—no “thank you,” no “have a nice day,” not even “is there anything else I can help you with?” The entire interaction felt cold, bland, and dismissive. As a customer, I don’t expect a long conversation at the drive-through, but I do expect the basic courtesies that make people feel respected and valued. Banking is about more than just transactions—it’s also about relationships and trust. When those small but important gestures are missing, it leaves a lasting negative impression. What makes this so disappointing is that I know TD Bank is capable of better. At other branches, particularly the Garrett Road location, I’ve consistently received excellent service. The staff there are welcoming, professional, and treat every customer as if they matter—no matter how routine the request may be. The difference in customer care between Garrett Road and the 969 Baltimore Pike drive-through is night and day.
