- MMMaryAug 31, 20252.0I opened a 5 month CD at Truist in February of this year at a rate of 4.00%. It automatically rolled over with no notification in July, a practice I don't like. I looked online on 8/30 and saw that the rate it rolled over to was 0.05%....yes 0.05%. Needless to say, I called customer service and closed the account..... a ridiculous process that took over an hour to accomplish. This kind of nonsense is exactly what turns a loyal customer into a former customer.

The one disappointing this is they don't have a change counter... So if you're looking to deposit that spare change you have, it needs to be rolled. Otherwise you have to go to another branch.
