Sure, they have a nice big sign up that says their “business is summed up by one word..Courtesy.” Really?!! I tried to make a cash deposit at the New Hope, PA branch because I needed to make an online tuition payment for my son’s college. The teller told me they could not take my cash deposit because they need to be careful about “money laundering.” She did not offer me a reasonable explanation, and just said it is “policy.” She let me leave the bank angry and upset. I could not make it back with a check or money order in time because the bank closed. I returned the next day and spoke with Trevor Scarlato, the branch manager. I explained to him that because they would not take my deposit that day I did not make the tuition payment on time and I was charged a $150 late fee by the school. He politely explained the bank’s policy. He also wanted to reimburse me for the late fee. But the higher-ups would NOT allow him to do so. I couldn’t believe it. I mean what is $150 to a HUGE operation like Wells Fargo? So, I give credit to Trevor for trying to do the right thing. But unfortunately he works for just another BIG BANK that claims to care but ultimately DOES NOT!
