Trust might be the worst possible bank for car loans. I paid off my loan last month and this month got a notification that they attempted to withdraw the monthly payment (on a loan that does not exist). I called and one of the verification questions is “what is the original loan amount?” - except that the Truist website/app does not show my loan because it’s paid off. Quite possibly the worst system I’ve ever had to navigate - do better, Truist!!!!

These banks are just ridiculously slow anymore. Never enough tellers and it just sucks to bank anymore. Thought it was supposed to be faster with all the online banking everyone is supposed to be doing

Checking accounts are used for day-to-day transactions, like buying something online or at a store with a debit card, sending money digitally, writing a rent check, or depositing cash and checks. You can open your new account any way you want. (Note that Truist CDs can only be opened at a branch.)

Online: Get started right away by opening your account online. You’ll have to wait a few days for your debit card and checks to arrive by mail—or you can visit a branch to get a temporary debit card ASAP. Branch: Visit a branch near you during business hours to open your new account. Bonus—you’ll walk out with a ready-to-use temporary debit card with your new checking account. Phone: Call us at 844-4TRUIST (844-487-8487). We’re available Monday through Friday, 8 am to 8 pm, and Saturday, 8 am to 5 pm.
