Bad customer service, simply wanted to close a account but had missed a monthly bill that comes out so it over drafted ($9) So went to the branch to get help as far as zeroing out the balance so I could close it. The teller was a supervisor and instead of being helpful she pretty much told me I should’ve read the agreement that it was up to me to know everything that was coming out of my account instead of just helping me get through it 🤦🏻 Yes she is right but at the same time when switching accounts over it’s hard to keep track of everything, Not the kind of thing you want to hear when closing an account . Not very helpful

Loved switching here with my husband. Elizabeth was phenomenal and so was the branch manager. Very honest and realistic about our financial situation and judgement free. Great advocate for her clients and does wonderful work. Very happy we chose to switch to KeyBank!

One of the bankers at this Erie branch (or possibly the branch manager), ELIZABETH H. attempted to defraud me and steal my funds. First she froze my account (as soon as I deposited a large amount of funds), and she fabricated a story that the "back office" froze it because someone from overseas tried to log into it, so it was "for my own security." So then the logical thing for me was to ask to withdraw all my funds and close the account, since the account was not safe (by her own words), but she said that I was not allowed to withdraw my own money as cash (because of the account being frozen). She also said that she would NOT do a wire transfer until late the next day in the afternoon, because she only had time for "more important clients." The next morning, I went to two other branches, and they both confirmed that there was no login attempt at all from overseas (or any suspicious activity for that matter). She basically made the whole story up. I truly believe that she wanted to steal my money, thinking that my foreign accent equals naivete or lack of intelligence.

If I could give KeyBank Kearsarge no stars I would! I opened a new business account a month th ago. Didn't request business credit or anything. Placed $500 of my own money ey to "start a relationship" with them. They had all my business docs, my ID and my money for a month. Sent me a bank card, marketing material etc. I go to withdraw my money 1 month later and can't. I am told there is a hold on the account because they couldn't verify the business (I opened 3 other accounts with 3 other banks no problem) 3 days later (and no access to my money) I get a call saying the hold is released. I withdraw money. 1 week later I try to pay a bill and the payment is declined. Again, I am told there is a hold on the account!!! Again, no call, no nothing and no reason. 40 mins later I am still trying to access my money with my ID and they won't release it. Pull your money from KeyBank!!!........If you can. Turns out I should have read reviews...2.9 and many complaints of people not able to access their money

It's pretty sad when this is your bank and you can't even rely on simple services they say come with your account such as a notary. You have 4 personal accounts with these people, 7 figures in the bank, 5 accounts including your business and you can't even get them to notarize a document. I am literally SICK of this bank.
