Ephrata National Bank is an independent community bank that has provided simple and convenient personal and business banking services in Lancaster County and the surrounding areas since 1881. We live in the communities we work in and we’re proud of the financial opportunities and educational resources we provide to our neighbors.
It's highly unfortunate that Ephrata national Bank does not have a policy to keep non ephrata bank user's cards. I talked to Wells Fargo customer service who actually agrees with me. He said he would have kept my card.
I used the archaic machine here. That actually help my card. It really is out of date anyway. I got to the next door food store and could not pay for my things there. I got alot more compassion From the employee at the convenience store then I did from the lady who was working at ephrata National Bank.
I can't see. I can't drive either. I desperately need help. And I am a single mother. Who doesn't know anyone in ephrata.
The woman at the bank here asked for my number. My phone wasn't even working. I came back and she told me they had thrown the card away.
So it's highly unfortunate that ephrata National Bank threw my card away. I can't even access my money. And my license expired. The two feature does not work on my phone either.
People in ephrata really lack compassion and common consideration for anyone but themselves I have found too. Plus things really aren't managed right to begin with compared to other locations. The customer service rep with Wells Fargo agreed it was really a jerk move that your employee did that. And you don't have a policy to hold people's cards. At least Wells Fargo has taken good care of me in all the years I have used them.
Also PNC Bank doesn't charge a surcharge. They are available at Wawa. I would definitely avoid Ephrata national Bank based off of that horrendous experience. That I still have to work out of.
Also a person could use his or her card and get cash back. As long as the store does that. Wawa doesn't. Wal Mart does. That option is definitely worth looking into too.
The only thing I can do here is avoid ephrata National Bank like the plague. I would not use their ATM's due to their policy either.
