- PMPaul McNamaraAug 7, 20251.0Went in to withdrawal money so I could purchase a car. They didn’t have all the cash so I said never mind and left. Come to find out the branch manager put my account on hold. So I was unable to use my money and could not feed myself lunch. I was unable to buy the car today and I’m unsure when I’ll be able to do that now. Customer service told me the hold was because the manager wanted me to be smart with my money and not spend it all on a car so they were trying to protect me. This has made me want to get ride of Wells Fargo and I literally just opened my account this month. I’m unsure in what world that is okay to put someone’s entire bank account on hold. I am furious and am going to talk to my lawyer. I don’t know what gives her the right to act like my mother and put a hold on my account. This has been the worse service I have ever dealt with in my life. You ruined my entire day. Then have the nerve to tell me I have to drive back to that bank to have an appointment with the manager. I live an hour away and stopped there because I was working in that area. If I could give this branch and wellls Fargo negative stars I would give you so many that hopefully they close this branch. I would spend 10 years writing bad reviews and giving negative stars if I could until this branch was closed.
