I have had a terrible experience With northwest community credit union. I applied for 1 credit card with them , then they sent me 2 in the mail. It’s now showing up on my credit report and affecting my credit. They have said they were gonna take care of it multiple times but it has been 6+ months and nothing has been done. When I try to go into the branch for assistance and to get this resolved they give me the run around and say they will have the manager contact me and they never do. And when I try to pay on my credit card from their banking app it says reversal and does not pay towards my card. And when I went into the branch to talk about this issue they said that “people were having issues paying that way” but they never made me aware of that from the beginning, or tried to resolve the issue. I WOULD NOT GO TO NORTHWESTERN!!

Very disappointed with nwccu as a whole and would recommend other local institutions over them to all my friends and family. There credit card will work 80% of the time and you will consistently have purchases blocked or your card flagged with a fraud transaction. They don’t take into account your spending habits and will say it’s for your benefit. Then you try to call in to rectify and they pass you to three different departments, make you call back multiple times, and still don’t resolve the issue. When you are told the problem is solved you will find out it wasn’t and just use another local card that works fine. There is also no way for them to reimburse you for missing the item you where trying to buy initially so you will pay more for a similar item. But don’t worry, you should have called in to inform them you are trying to buy a couch so it’s your fault at the end of the day. Putting the card in a drawer for emergency situations and using my other card with same rewards. My benefit was spending more money and wasting my time calling in because they can’t figure out how credit cards work. Thanks
