It is a very strange experience to be a customer there. The staff is awfully impersonal. They have massive plexiglass screens between the account representives and the potential client. You have to request a sanitized pen from their side of the screen to sign a check. The banker let us know that we may be carrying germs that he did not want to be exposed to. There was virtually zero communicatiin during the time we sat at this guy's desk for 40 minutes and he did we know not what. We did follow up with the manager - he basically let us know that this is standard practice for them. We will move our accounts away from this failure of a bank branch as soon as we practically can.

Very friendly, helpful and professional staff at the Seaside branch. Never any lines, and somehow they even seem to remember names of all the regular customers.

I am soooooo sad this small town business is switching to a less personable corporate bank. 5 stars for the galactic customer service. I hope that doesn't change.

Was Bank of America, then I was FORCED to change to Bank of the Cascades, with no choice or warning. People at this branch are very nice, but the bank's higher up management and policies are horrible. One thing that annoyed me was that I had to create a PIN number in order to do FACE TO FACE transactions at my branch. And it could not be the same PIN number I use online or at the ATM. They made me create a new PIN number, and asked me security questions - while I was making a FACE TO FACE DEPOSIT. I had other problems too, that would take several pages to describe so I'll skip to today. Today was the last straw. I called my branch directly and was transferred to general customer service (not my branch). I was told it was due to my branch not answering the phone (if they are too busy or on lunch). It was 3 PM. I had a simple question I wanted to ask of my branch manager. But they would not transfer me to my branch unless I answered a series of security questions - the same questions they ask you if you want to get account information. I made it clear I was not asking about my account, I just wanted to speak to someone at my branch, preferably the manager. The rep on the phone said I had to answer security questions first. I will be closing my Bank of the Cascades accounts due to severely poor management.
