My account was frozen twice in a short period for no justifiable reason. When I contacted them (after navigating a torturous automated phone system), I was given zero explanation, vague excuses, and absolutely no timeline for resolution. The worst part? They confirmed that my funds—my earned money—would not be released for a full 90 days. Ninety days without access to my livelihood. This isn't banking; this is holding a customer's finances hostage with zero transparency or accountability. The customer service is non-existent. When facing a critical issue like an account freeze, you need to speak to someone immediately. Instead, I was stonewalled by endless prompts and layers of bureaucracy. Trying to reach a person who actually had the authority to address this catastrophic error was impossible. KeyBank seems intentionally designed to prevent customers with urgent issues from ever speaking to a supervisor or decision-maker. I urge anyone considering KeyBank to run the other way. They have demonstrated an alarming disregard for their customers' financial well-being and a complete inability to manage accounts responsibly. I was treated like a criminal while my money was locked away for three months. Save yourself the stress and find a bank that actually values its customers.
