Came in, spent an entire hour working on opening a checking account for a promotion to receive a bonus if a certain amount was deposited. Spent the time, set up an acct, made a deposit, and then after the fact am told I didn't get the promotion because only a direct deposit from an employer counted towards it. I was unemployed at the time so if I had known it had to be a direct deposit, I never would have wasted all that time! This will ultimately cost me a few hrs of my life to open and now close an account for zero benefits.
