    Very Rude Service, Did not seem to want my business. Escalated to the branch manager, and she was worse than the guy I had talked to on the phone previously. (Last Summer.) Not a bank I would care to deal with. Good luck!

    Avoid Columbia Bank at all costs. I was an Umpqua customer for nearly 10 years and they were great, zero complaints. Ever since my Umpqua account transitioned over to Columbia, it’s been nothing but headaches and frustration. ATM fees are no longer refunded, despite the scarcity of Columbia ATMs around the city. I had $100s of dollars of bogus fees show up on my account. After 2 hours on the phone I was told to go to my local branch. The local branch told me there was absolutely nothing they could do and that I’d need to go home and call again. Another hour on the phone and they told me they were helpless and I’d need to go into the branch again. Rinse and repeat. They finally told me I need to go to my “home branch” to resolve the issue, but my home branch (Lovejoy) doesn’t exist anymore, and they refuse to assign me to a new home branch, so there’s nothing I can do, and I’m stuck with these fees now. Extremely frustrating and incredibly disorganized. I would avoid Columbia bank at all costs.

    This bank discriminates against people of color. I went several times to cash checks from my employer’s account and was treated as if the checks weren’t mine. On one visit, I came with my white co-worker—while they were helped immediately, my check was reviewed multiple times and took more than 15 minutes to cash. This has happened repeatedly over the past five years, and it is unacceptable. No one should ever be treated this way. I will never bank here again.

    Literally the WORST bank in the world. Their systems are 5-7 years behind the curve, their web presence is awful, and their service is the worst, no one there has any idea what they are doing. I regrettably made the mistake of setting up my business account here and it has been the biggest headache ever. Furthermore, we ended our service with them about 6 months ago and have spent AT LEAST 5 phone calls having to go back and cancel our service again with them because they are so disorganized. To add insult to injury, I just received a phone call from a collections agency about a balance that has been taken care SEVERAL times. They are the worst service I have ever had to deal with, and yes, that includes Comcast. AVOID AT ALL COST.
