  Needed a notary. Told me I would have to make an account to use their notary services. Ensure I never would...make an account.

  I can't believe all the bitchy reviews on here...I mean, who the hell even goes into a bank anymore except to open an account? It's called Online Banking folks and it works every bit as well as going into the branch. Oh, and have you ever used a smart phone...great...cause you can use that for most of your banking/financial transactions too these days. Bunch of stone age curmudgeons need to be dragged into the 21st century...ridiculous. Bank teller is a boring and underpaid job, what do you expect from those folks anyhow...do you write crappy reviews for the DMV and Post Office as well?

  The staff have been more than kind in just about every case, but they have the most archaic systems and policies that have taken an entire day of my life (5 phone calls and a branch visit) to finally get a straight answer on. I'm pulling my $ out of this bank and taking it to Pacific Continental Bank.

  Tired of faceless banking? I was until I started banking with Umpqua! EVERY person that I have interacted with at Every location that I have visited has been happy, helpful and efficient. This is exactly what I demand from a bank. I also do my business banking here and would never consider working with another banking institution. Each branch is a little different, but, they all offer tools for my business that have proved invaluable. With their recent acquisition of Sterling Bank, things will only get better (more locations).
