This bank has the worst customer service. I have been a member since last year. I decided to use them because I live in Depoe Bay and it is convenient. What a mistake that turned out to be. I will travel to Newport or Lincoln City to do my banking from now on and not use Columbia Bank.
Last weekend the Depoe Bay Columbia Bank ATM machine went down in the middle of my withdrawal. It took the money out of my account but did not give me any money. When I went in the bank on Monday to get my money credited back to my account it was like pulling teeth to get them to give me my money back. There is a big training issue with their employees because I got different answers about the process to get it back depending on who I talked with. When I left the branch on Monday I was assured that they will credit my account by Wednesday when they check their ATM. Well, it’s Thursday and I still didn’t get my money back. I went to the branch and their Branch Manager told me now I have to wait 10 days for them to resolve the issue. She also lacked any kind of customer service skills necessary to run a bank, just plain rude. I closed my account and will never bank with Columbia Bank again. They are arrogant and just don’t care about their customers.
I am still waiting on them to send me the money they took from me. If you value your money I would think twice about using the Depoe Bay Columbia Bank location.
