- PBPaula BrothertonJan 17, 20251.0I’ve had a business account here since 2017, with all necessary business documents provided at the time I opened the account (at a different branch). I recently made the Canby branch Manager aware of a 1099 reporting issue and was told how to fix it. Well that fixed it alright—turned it into not only a 1099 reporting issue but also a withholding issue. When I attempted to have it “fixed” again, the branch manager was not only unhelpful, she was flat out rude. Continuously talking over me and patronizing. No matter how many times I explained the situation (verified by a tax attorney), she insisted their “error” was not an error and even suggested that I did not provide proper documentation when I opened the account. Not the case. She treated me as if I was stupid and a liar. Great business practice. Her communication “style” was to be patronizing, to interrupt me, to talk louder than me, and to repeat the same inaccurate information over and over again in an attempt to either make it true or cover the company posterior.
- MWMichelle WalchDec 17, 20241.0My dad has banked here, at this branch, since 1968. Only recently has he been on the receiving end of incredibly condescending behavior from the bank manager. For example, he was cashing a check that booth he and my deceased mother was issued to, so obviously she couldn’t sign. The bank manager had the nerve to ask him if the reason she didn’t sign is if “she was mad at him.” Unbelievable. That’s just one example.

I was given a number of excuses as to why they couldn't fulfill my request (they didn't have enough $100 bills was one of them!), and ended up walking out empty-handed. And this is during good times! Imagine what it would be like if there were an emergency or a natural disaster!
