I had a very uncomfortable experience at the OnPoint branch inside Fred Meyer on Walker Road in Beaverton today.
I came in specifically to open a checking account related to an active OnPoint mortgage I am securing. I explained my situation clearly, including that my ID address does not reflect my current residence due to DMV policies and costs. I attempted to provide documentation, including official mail and later my rental agreement via my phone.
Throughout the interaction, the teller and her coworker were visibly laughing and smiling in a way that felt directed at me. When I finally spoke up, I was told she was “just a nervous laugher,” but it was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable.
The manager was cold, abrupt, and unapologetic. She refused to contact my loan officer (who is also an OnPoint employee) despite my request and provided conflicting information about required accounts and whether a lender fee waiver was even possible.
What should have been a simple account opening turned into a frustrating and dismissive experience. This was not about policy—it was about tone, attitude, and lack of basic courtesy.
I’ve had far better experiences at other OnPoint branches and will be taking my business elsewhere. Very disappointing.

Still new to a lot of banking things I never learned, and Emily was so so helpful!
I had tons of questions, trying to figure out the best way to open a membership and they were incredibly kind and quick to answer everything I asked without making me feel silly for not knowing things! Will definitely be coming back!

Was recently at this branch and had a lot of maintenance to do and Ashley Romero was helping me. She was great to work with, she was fast and importantly understanding with the urgency to get my stuff updated. You don't always get good employees that are very knowledgeable these days and thankfully i got to work with Ashley!

OnPoint is by far the best and easiest bank I have used since I got to Oregon! Fast and friendly. Jason made opening my account a breeze! Ismael and the rest of the crew always make me feel like a part of the family! Too bad I can’t add more stars! Thank you OnPoint!
