My fiancee deposits money into my account every month for bills. We were told this is no problem and can be done with the last 4 of my account number. But every time she does it, it's usually a different experience ranging from good to awful.
Most recently she was forced to produce ID and her social security number for a deposit of $1200. She questioned it and they insisted it was due to the patriot act, so she hesitantly complied and left feeling very uncomfortable. As she should, because this law exists only for deposits of $10,000 or greater, not 1200! They were so confidently incorrect and that leaves me little confidence in them as a financial institution. Even I knew that and I've never worked in banking!
This was the final straw for me. I will begin migrating my banking to a credit union asap.

Opened a new account on 1/2/17, went into this branch a day later to make a deposit and asked if they needed anything else from me to make sure my account was up and running. They tell me nope, everything's good to go and I'll be getting a welcome packet in the mail with my cards, checks and paperwork in about a week.
It is now 18 days later and I haven't received a thing, not even a phone call. I had to call to learn that they still are pending my account opening because they want more info about me....really?! Why did this local branch tell me my account was good when really I'm in limbo. I have no cards to access my deposit at ATMS and I can't close my account and withdraw my $$ until my account is actually open!!!
