- WBWren Van BakelNov 26, 20251.0Was short on rent and so reached out about a loan. The agent Saahil helped me over the phone and mentioned I was pre-approved for 10-12k loan. I mentioned I didn’t need this much I simply needed 1k. We continued the application over the phone and I was told I didn’t even need to come into the branch to finish the transaction (great!). He said he would complete the process and get back to me at 6:30pm on a Friday. He then called 8 mins before they close to congratulate me on my 10k loan. I told him I didn’t need that much and he advised that there was nothing to be done now since it’s approved and why don’t I just think about it. I could use the money right? The monthly payments were going to be over 300$. I asked if they would be lowered if I sent back 9k and he said yes they would be reduced. So I signed the loan. I called the head office on Monday asking how to pay back the portion I didn’t need and was told that no in fact the monthly payments will remain 300$ a month for funds I didn’t ask for. These people work on commission. This man decided to raise his earnings by preying on someone who is financially struggling. The phone calls at branch level are not recorded and they know this. He fully lied about the terms of a loan in order to get his commission. Do not work with these people they are untrustworthy and will lie to your face. They will ruin your credit and ruin your finances. You should not be working in finance, this was a cruel and evil thing you did to someone else to pay yourself. Saahil enjoy your commission!
