- MRMaya RitchieDec 2, 20251.0I was scheduled to receive my documents at 2:00 pm but did not receive them until 3:30 pm. I reviewed and signed them right away, but at 4:00 pm I was contacted and asked to come in person to sign the same documents again—after the markets had already closed. When I expressed my frustration, I was told, “I have other customers” and “I’m trying my best”. This has not been an isolated issue. During my appointment the day before, Jade did not seem to understand what I was requesting, to the point where I became frustrated and said to withdraw all of my investments when I only needed 30k. In today’s appointment, she also asked if I wanted to close my FHSA, despite knowing that I close next year and can still contribute another 8k. These repeated delays and misunderstandings have been extremely inconvenient and stressful, especially as a first-time home buyer trying to navigate an already complicated process. I have already had to amend my deposit because of these delays and may need to do so again. I have banked with TD my entire life, but due to this experience, I will not be signing my mortgage with them.

The issues stemmed directly from a complete lack of professionalism and understanding of basic banking procedures on the part of the frontline cashiers and, critically, the Branch Manager This level of incompetence and discourtesy for a major institution like TD Bank is unacceptable. Customers should not have to manage a bank's staff training during a transaction. I strongly advise TD corporate to review the training and management standards at this specific branch. I will be filing a formal complaint."
