  Got told the manager can't verify a scotia bank-bank draft that was signed by 2x employees of that scotia bank branch, because she can't call the branch as it's a 1-800 number. There's no "local number" Each Scotiabank in Ottawa has their own 613 number. You shouldn't make states that are not rooted in truth to your customers Managers statements

  I was nervous to go here based on others reviews. However luckily that was not our experience. I took my son to open an account and Debbie made the whole experience engaging, humorous and a happy time for both my son and I. She was also able to relate finances to easier concepts he would understand. I definitely recommend going to Debbie if you are in need of opening an account! Thank you!

  Truly sad to see. I had a lovely experience with a woman who took the time to understand that I had severe anxiety around finances. I have no problem with being up front with this and stating this fact right off the bat to each person I interacted with, from the sit down appointment I had, to the teller I had to visit the second occasion, to the gentleman I spoke on the phone with. The team (other then one wonderful lady) seems more interested in labeling a situation in a timely matter and not actually handling the issue effectively or at all as I still have yet to have closed the chequeing account I set out to close, something they told me they could do no problem. As they rush people, I don't know if they realize the feeling they instill in the clients especially the ones who might have a hard time around handling finances (like myself). I have all my life been with the same bank and have never considered switching until interacting with this branch. If your to busy to give people your time, maybe you shouldn't deal with people? It's sad to see how little effort people put into other human being these days. Maybe it's time to start getting paid in cheques and keeping your money at home to cut out all this non sense.

  I have been dealing with this branch for several years and have had superb service. The tellers address me by name and have been very helpful. I have also been very well treated at other TD branches. It's an excellent bank.
