  Date of visit: November 12 – around 5:00 p.m.** Today my wife and I visited this TD branch because she needed to withdraw money from her own account. We are travelling on Monday, and the withdrawal was important and time-sensitive. After checking her account, the employee went to her supervisor. The supervisor refused to give us the money, claiming it was “to protect us from scammers,” even though the amount was only **$8,000**, which is a normal personal withdrawal. I explained that we urgently needed the money and asked for a **signed written statement** explaining why our own money was being refused. The employee refused again. We then asked if we could withdraw a smaller amount (e.g., $5,000 or even $2,000), and she still refused. We requested to speak with the branch manager. Instead of coming to talk to us, the manager avoided us and left the branch. The staff member returned and told us the manager “will not meet us.” Only after I said I would call the police to make a formal complaint did the employee suddenly change her decision and agree to release the money — and told us that “next time we must inform them in advance.” This experience was extremely unprofessional and stressful. Denying customers access to **their own money** without any valid reason, refusing to communicate, and changing the decision only when threatened with a complaint is unacceptable. I do not recommend this branch.

  When trying to re-invest a portion of my matured GIC on August 18th which should have been complete in just a few minutes, I was told a manager was not available to sign off and that the papers would be signed in the morning and I could then have my money in my account. I left a voice mail the following day mid morning and an E-mail in the late afternoon (both were ignored) I returned to the bank the following day and was told by the agent he was not able to have it signed yet, I recived a call telling me to come to the bank the following day for me to sign for my money So the nexty day I waited and the agent came out past me and took someone else in for and appointment. A different agent seeing my frustration booked me for an appointment the following day with that same first agent. When I returned home I received a call aplogizing for ignoring my earlier appointment, not a word about voicemail or e-mail come see me tomorrow and we will get it done. At that meeting I signed and was told I "cannot re-invest at this time as the system is down" I was promised a call when the system was back up. around 20 days later, no phone callI just returned from another branch of TD and had everything done to my satisfaction, The people at the branch I just came from have no idea about the system being down and agree it's not likely that it would have remained down this long.. Pretty sure I had ben dealing with a very incompetant TD employee. A customer for around 40 years

  I had a terrible experience in this TD branch; overall having an account with TD for a decade now I have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism! one of the employees named Marvin Karera helped as apply for a service. He promised he will get back to us within 2 days, a week passed we did not hear anything, I emailed him and left him a voice message. We did not hear anything back from him. Waited another week, but nothing! we called and emailed again, and after waiting another week Marvin emailed saying that he forgot to submit our application and he will do it that day and we will hear from him that week. Again 2 weeks passed and we did not hear from him, again I emailed him, and waited another week we did not hear from him again. When the same thing happened several times I called the branch and was able to speak to the manager, the manager was very polite, and apologetic when I told him that email can take only 10 seconds or so. Then we received an email within 20 minutes from Marvin Karera mentioning that the application was rejected. We were extremely disappointed by Marvin Karera's customer service, his lack of communication skills and his lack of interest and regard for TD clients. We felt disrespected and disvalued for Marvin's treatments, TD's excellent experiences can be turned into horrible and terrible ones by these kinds of employees! I am writing this "your application is in process" took me 5 seconds, "and we are still waiting for the response" 6 seconds. "Your application has been denied, sorry for the news" 10 seconds. But we waited for almost 2 months, and emailed 5 times and called 4 times!

  Folks below: please stop using names when rating. Just contact the bank if you want them to know who you're complaining about. I enjoy going to this bank when I go and haven't had any issues.
