- SSSeunghyunJul 29, 20251.0AVOID THIS ADVISOR! I met with Oreoluwa after retiring from the Canadian Armed Forces to deposit my pension payout into a TD account. I specifically asked for the money to go into a money market (savings) account, as I was not comfortable investing it. Oreoluwa told me this wasn’t possible and instead pressured me into purchasing a TD mutual fund—an investment product from which he earns a commission. He reassured me that I could treat the mutual fund like a savings account and cash it out with no issues. I later contacted TD support and was told this was completely false. Not only could he have opened a money market account, but he should have. TD confirmed his conduct was inappropriate. Because mutual funds carry penalties for early withdrawal, I was unable to pull out the money without loss. The funds dropped in value and I lost a significant portion of my pension because of his advice. Whether this was due to incompetence or self-interest, I can’t say. But either way, I strongly warn others to avoid using his services.
