  I visited this branch twice and on both occasions I was very satisfied with customer service. I got consultations with Louis Meng. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and patient. He effectively addressed all the issues that I needed to discuss. I appreciate his thorough explanations to the questions. I would recommend Louis if you need an Investment Consultant.

  I recently moved to the area after getting married and have visited this branch a few times with mixed experiences. While every teller I’ve interacted with has provided excellent customer service, my latest experience with the branch manager, Iemma Ayub, has been disappointing. Before my wedding, Iemma was very pleasant and helpful when issuing a draft cheque for wedding-related payments. However, after my wedding, my wife and I visited the branch to deposit a number of cheques we received as wedding gifts. Since it would have been a large task to deposit them individually through mobile banking, we chose to visit the branch expecting a smooth and efficient experience. Both of our full names are listed on our joint account. Unfortunately, rather than simplifying the process, Iemma made it unnecessarily difficult by refusing to deposit about half of the cheques. Her reasoning was that some of the cheques listed only our first names, or our first names along with my last name, and that “internal policy” required both our full first and last names to appear on the cheques. When I requested to see this policy in writing, she was unable to provide any written documentation or proof of such a rule. Instead, she advised us to contact each family member and friend to have the cheques reissued which is an unreasonable and inconvenient request given the context. What made this even more frustrating was that the remaining cheques, which were written in the same or similar format, were accepted without issue at other branches last year at our engagement time. All cheques clearly reflected our names and were consistent with the names on our joint account, leaving no reasonable doubt as to their legitimacy. To test this, I later deposited all the previously refused cheques using mobile deposit and they were all successfully processed with no issues. In conclusion, I believe Iemma would benefit from additional training on how to appropriately assess the risks associated with cheque deposits. In this case, there were multiple clear indicators that these were genuine wedding gift cheques (memos stating wedding gifts, both our names on the cheques matching names on account, and the fact that she accepted the other half of the cheques which were in our names and for wedding gifts). A more practical, customer-focused approach supported by critical thinking rather than rigid adherence to unclear “policies” would have avoided unnecessary frustration for new clients like us.

  I’ve had an excellent experience at this branch. The staff are always professional, helpful, and attentive, but I want to give special recognition to Ms. Dhaliwal, the branch manager. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure customers feel valued and well taken care of. Her professionalism, knowledge, and genuine care make a real difference. It’s rare to see a manager so engaged with both the team and the clients, and it truly shows in the quality of service at this location. Highly recommend this branch to anyone looking for great customer service and leadership that sets the standard.
