  Good afternoon, I am writing to provide feedback regarding my recent experience at the TD Canada Trust branch in Port Credit (Lakeshore, Mississauga) on November 19th at approximately 11:50 AM. Upon arriving at the branch, the line was extremely long, but I waited to speak with a teller regarding several important matters, including updating my name on the account and opening an estate account. The teller who assisted me was an older Filipino woman. When I requested a name change, I was informed that my picture of the legal document was not sufficient and that the original physical document was required. I fully understood and respected that due to privacy and policy requirements. However, I found the overall interaction to be rushed and unhelpful. The teller did not take the time to fully listen to my concerns or explain the process clearly. She seemed more focused on getting through the line quickly rather than providing proper support. In addition, I was told that I needed to book an appointment to open an estate account, which I accepted, as I understood that it requires more detailed processing. Still, the manner in which the information was delivered felt dismissive and unprofessional. Because none of my issues were resolved, I left feeling frustrated and unheard. I then decided to visit another TD branch—the Clarkson location—to see if I could get assistance there. At the TD Clarkson branch, I had an entirely different experience. The representative who assisted me, Sarah, was exceptional. She was attentive, patient, understanding, and knowledgeable. She listened to my concerns, explained the steps clearly, and efficiently helped me open the estate account and complete my name change in a single visit. Her professionalism and customer service were outstanding, and she ensured everything was taken care of properly. I want to recognize Sarah for her excellent service and thank the Clarkson branch for resolving all the issues that the Port Credit branch could not. In contrast, I believe the Port Credit location would greatly benefit from further training in customer service, patience, and proper handling of sensitive financial matters. When customers come in with estate concerns or account issues, it is essential they feel heard, respected, and supported. Thank you for taking the time to review my feedback. I hope this helps improve the customer experience at the Port Credit branch, as well as reinforces the outstanding service at the Clarkson location.

  Horrible customer experience and red tape dealing with this branch. I deposited a USD$ cheque that came from a Canadian Financial Insitution which according to TD's own hold funds policy should only have a hold for 5 business days. Instead, they put a 15 business day hold on the cheque and were absolutely not interested in helping me resolve this issue. All I was told was "no" or "call this 1-800 number" and "it's our policy" when they clearly don't even know their own policies. I've been forced to file a complaint with the Ombudsman at this point as nobody at TD is willing to help. I will be moving all of my banking business to Scotiabank where I've never had any of these issues I've encountered with TD. This was the final straw. I'm tired of all the red tape and hoops TD puts me through - they just make it impossible to bank with them.
