  I made an appointment to withdraw RESP funds at this branch, which is also my home branch. This is the 4th year I have been withdrawing from my RESP, and I have always provided the Unofficial Enrolment Verification from the university without any issues. The Unofficial Enrolment Verification letter contains all the required information (university logo, student name, program, etc.). However, the branch manager, Balraj Athwal, refused to accept the letter for the withdrawal and instead blamed me, saying it was my fault for not calling ahead to confirm what documents were needed. She was very rude, arrogant, and dismissive. I am shocked that TD allows someone with such poor customer service skills to manage a branch. As a result of this experience, I have decided to move all my banking and investments from TD to another financial institution. After being a TD customer for over 40 years, I expect to be treated with respect, dignity, and value—and unfortunately, that was not the case here.

  I've had a horrible experience with TD, and I'm only 17. I've had this account since Grade 9 and have had to replace my debit card more times than I can count due to fraud and it's not like I'm using sketchy websites. One of the charges was for Grindr, a gay dating app for men. I'm a female and at that time I was young and didn’t even know what grinder was, so not only is that app completely irrelevant to me, but I also can't even legally use it. That alone should’ve raised red flags with TD, but the worst was still to come. The last time I visited this exact TD branch for help with yet another fraudulent charge, the woman that was supposed to help me literally laughed in my face and told me she couldn't help. When I asked if I was just supposed to stay vulnerable, she said yes — "everyone is vulnerable." No. It's quite literally your job to help prevent these situations or at least help solve them. And clearly someone else knew that, because the man working right next to her was able to fully help me, close the compromised account, and open a new one - quickly and respectfully. What made it worse? The same woman who refused to help me started playing around and chatting casually with another employee like she wasn't even on the job. You're working at a professional establishment, l'd think you'd need to act like it too? At this point, I've completely lost trust in TD. I've decided to switch to a new bank entirely because my experience has been nothing short of disgusting. And now that I'm looking to open my first credit card, I know I will never trust TD with any money again. If I could give zero stars, I would.
