- NSN SNov 14, 20231.0Deposited a cheque at this branch Nov 6. Teller stated there will be a 5 day hold. This was not our home branch. Unfortunately the elder teller used her best discretion to protect the assests of the bank and wouldn't even call the credit union to certify the cheque. Also she mentioned we could not sign the cheque over to a 3rd party. Of all the years I've been a banker AND even going to school for finance I've never been confronted with such a poorly run branch and misinformed/incompetent employee. Even the customer service manager was crotchety when I questioned her about why her employee did what she did.This branch is problem based and not solution based. If the teller actually wanted to provide exceptional customer service she could have mentioned to deposit the cheque at the ATM where the hold limit would allow for the funds to be accessed immediately. BBB and the ombudsman need to be informed about this specific location.
