- LLLoveweleancbSep 24, 20251.0I just want to bring up something that happened during my direct-to-bank transaction today (Sep 24, 6:23pm) at your branch. When the teller (JBO or JB0) asked where to send the money, I clearly mentioned the recipient's name. She proceeded without confirming anything with me. Then, when she handed me the paper to sign, I noticed it was addressed to someone else. It was sent to Danielle instead of Daniel, my father. When I pointed this out, she asked (not exact words), “Are they different?” which honestly felt CARELESS. The names are obviously different, and I believe she should have double-checked before proceeding, especially since I have a list of recipients on record. Luckily, the money still went to my sister, so it wasn’t a major issue this time but it could have easily gone to the wrong person. Other money transfer service like Money Mart and Cash4U usually confirm the recipient carefully, so mistakes like this are avoided. I left the branch feeling quite disappointed. As a customer, I expect accuracy when it comes to financial transactions, so I was very disappointed by the lack of attention to such an important detail. I’m honestly not sure I’d feel confident returning to this branch (Hespeler) after this experience.
