- LGL GNov 7, 20251.0I visited the branch earlier this week to close a secure line of credit that my late wife and I have had for decades and never used. I was told it was a two step process and I would be called when the paperwork is done. When I went back this morning to finalize it, I was told there was a $285 discharge fee that could only be paid by cash or cheque. Being a senior on a fixed income, I was really taken back. Why didn’t the teller advise me of the fee on my first visit? I have no doubt $285 is nothing for a filthy rich bank but it’s a lot of money for me. The teller then told me that the bank manager could possibly waive the fee but she is not in. TD bank reported net income of $3.34 billion for its most recent quarter, Q3 2025, yet they charge some of the most vulnerable citizens bank fees and don’t bother to staff their branches adequately so the manager is available during business hours. Despicable!!! So much for commitment to customer service. I will be sure to share my experience with my friends and family so they can vote with their feet and take their business elsewhere.
- TLTrsha leaNov 3, 20251.0Had to explain myself and literally beg for my own earned money and wait in suspense to see if my check is goingg to be cashed right away and if the teller was satisfied with my answers, so I can put gas, work and eat that week, since they hold it for 5 business days. TD never did anything for me but take my hard earned money every month and made sure to punish me when there was none. This system has gotta stop.. why do we need banks at all, disgusting!

I then had assistance from branch manager Mohini Doss who explained and helped expedite my requests. Followed by help from Personal banker Vanshika who completed all my final requests. Fabulous team work.
