I went in to request a simple change to my mortgage payments, and the process was handled very poorly. When I followed up to understand why the issue wasn’t fixed, I was told it was due to a “system issue” and that nothing could be done. As a result, I ended up paying additional interest on my mortgage, and their response was essentially, “we can’t help you.” Very disappointing experience with no accountability.

The first is when we went in about getting a mortgage and we’re told it would be ‘highly unlikely’ to get approved for what we wanted, so we went through a broker to then find out the brokers used TD for our mortgage which was 150k MORE than what the banker at TD said we would ‘highly unlikely’ be able to secure during our appointment. Second of all my boyfriend had questions about his RRSPs in which Hassib (employee) came off as rude and condescending. He also LAUGHED at the fact my boyfriend switch account types even though he was advised by another TD banker to do so (during Covid). This is unprofessional and was very upsetting. Will not be going back here for further advice.
