- EEEthan EmmettDec 11, 20251.0TD has always been a frustrating bank to deal with but these past few days have been a real displeasure. I receive a loan from TD themselves, and they flag my account for fraudulent behaviour. You’d think a corporation that brings in billions of dollars would have the ability to detect this type of thing. I am now unable to access my finances online and use of my debit card. I call next morning and was told to go to the my branch on market street to identify myself. I arrive at 9am to be told that the bank tellers were going to be late. I come back at 12:30pm, and talk to the bank teller, she was nice and understanding of my situation. I gave her my ID, she gave me a new debit card and told me the first time I use it, I’ll have to manually insert it and put in my pin. I am able to log into my easyweb, hooray. I thought I was in the clear. I go get some gifts for Christmas and would you look at that, my card is declining. I call TD once again and get passed around like a hot potato for 45 minutes with three different people, only to find out my account is on hold. I now have to return to my branch, to “identify” myself once again, so I can get access to my finances. Why wasn’t this dealt with when I was already there? The loan I got approved for from them was not a lot of money. TD’s new slogan should be “Know your Place.”
