- SNSomeGuy NamedLioneSep 2, 20251.0Worst banking experience I’ve ever had. I opened an account with them because I read about their instant deposit when it comes to cheques. I went in person and made it very clear that I am opening an account specifically to deposit my work cheques and they assured me that it would not be put on hold. The very next day I deposited my cheque and it was on hold for 7 business days and when I called to verify they told me that it was because I deposited it online. Fine, I came in after getting my second cheque and tried to deposit it in person and they notified me that it would still be on hold…… so I’m standing there confused because they blatantly lied to me about the instant deposit and made it seem like I was the one of miscommunicated despite me asking on multiple occasions. If I can give them a 0 start I would. 0/10 experience would not recommend.

I was having issues with a wire transfer that was trying to be sent to me from the USD into my CAD account. The gentleman at the counter basically told me the information that was relayed to me (from a different TD branch) was incorrect. He provided me with new paperwork, highlighting the information that would actually need to be sent in order for the transfer to successfully go through. Regardless of how close we were to closing time, he took the time to explain things to me and low and behold, it worked! Huge thanks!! Sorry I didn't get his name, or would I have included it in this review.
