- LLLucindaMay 13, 20252.0Used auto loan life wasn't bad, had great interest and no issues until it came to paying off. Online said leftover balance was $35.90 and when I clicked pay remaining balance it said $35.92. I paid it, no big deal, just a 2 cent difference. Communication Federal Credit Union somehow said I still owed $0.01 and REFUSED to closed the loan until I paid the $0.01. It's literally a penny. It's how I was told an amount and they added a penny AFTER I paid it just to keep the account open and refused to closed it until I paid the penny. When I called about why it wasn't closed I was told the online payments can be wrong so I wonder how many times they have taken the payments and lied about what was applied. It's not about the money it's how they trick you and then make a big deal over it to keep you from closing your loan out. Won't be using again.
