- CMConnie MorrisNov 2, 20251.0When my friend’s son passed away and we went to Key Bank to close his accounts, submitting the death certificate and the administrator signed by the judge for release of his funds. Well the judge’s signature wasn’t proof enough, so they had to send the paperwork to their “Document Committee!” That was unacceptable!! Legally, they were suppose to release the funds, and yet we had to wait 6 weeks! Other banks in Powell and Delaware was cordial and professional when we closed his accounts.We had a horrible experience during a time when we were grieving the unexpected loss. Sad!!!

He stopped returning my calls and emails. My wife went to our local branch, and the manager (Katie) said that time had run out and our loan had dropped from the system. She asked that we send her our information and she would process the loan. It has been over 2 months, and now Katie is not responding to emails or calls. Obviously, Key Bank does not want our business, and we will take it elsewhere.
